Venus Midnight Walk 2022

St Michael's Hospice is our local chosen charity for Tyrrells Crisps. As soon as we heard about the Venus Walk a group of ladies were excited and very keen to take part and raise funds. Currently we have raised £680. This is without any additional pennies donated during our coffee and cake mornings. We all loved dressing up in pink and donning glow sticks and tutu's - we are now excited for next year!... Read more

30th Wedding Anniversary

Dom and Yvonne Robertson recently celebrated their 30th Wedding Anniversary, and wanted to try to get people together to celebrate after many months of lock down and lack of social gatherings. We have lived in the same village as St Michael’s Hospice for over 25 years, with the loss of work colleagues and a close friend passing away in the hospice in 2015, it holds a very special place in our hearts – what a better way to celebrate our anniversary than for us to raise some additional funds for St Michaels. We held an evening celebration at Bartestree Village…... Read more

Tour de Hereford

I took up road cycling about 5 years ago and received lots of support from the local cycling community and Spot-on Coaching. Riding the Tour de Hereford enables me to put something back into the community and raise my level of fitness! Fundraising has been harder this year because of the economic situation but I have received a number of donations totalling just under £200. The latest was during my ride this morning when I called at Marden Post Office and Stores for a coffee. Wearing the Hospice Jersey and engaged in conversation with staff, a lady queuing for the…... The Walking Wolfpack

This 24 hour event will see 11 men take on their biggest challenge of their lives. In just one day, we will be walking up and down the three biggest peaks in Wales; Snowdon, Cadair Idris & Pen-Y-Fan. A very difficult challenge perhaps for those who are fit but an extremely difficult challenge for a group of lads, who are more use to climbing blood pressures than climbing mountains and more use to downing pints than downing peaks. The walk is not only about setting ourselves a challenge but also to help with fitness levels, mental health and to raise…... Read more
